STUDY OF SLS EA SURVEY OFFICIAL TRAINING

BPS has long used the census block as an enumeration area for various censuses/surveys using a household/individual approach. However, the Census Block Enumeration Area is considered very specific, because only BPS uses it, while other ministries/agencies are more familiar with SLS (Local Environment Unit). Therefore, as a form of preparation, an Area Enumeration Study for the Local Environment Unit (EA SLS) was carried out.

These preparations include an impact study and mitigation of the resulting indicators for changes in the use of SLS which will be carried out in 2023. SAKERNAS is one of the major surveys conducted by BPS using the household approach and the enumeration area of the census block, will be significantly affected by this change. Therefore, a study on the use of the SLS enumeration area needs to be carried out at the August 2023 SAKERNAS, where the results of the study are expected to be used as a reference in the use of the SLS enumeration area in the future.

#Sahabatdata Sukamara, BPS Sukamara Regency has conducted this EA SLS study officer training on 7-8 August 2023 in the BPS Office Hall of Sukamara Regency. Hopefully with this training activity, officers can understand the enumeration mechanism that has been set, probing a lot of information (probing) from respondents and still prioritizing the quality of the data produced so that accurate and quality data is obtained.
