Abstract

Central Kalimantan's export value in November 2009 was US$ 10.37 million, down 65.41 percent compared to October 2009 which reached US$ 29.98 million. Cumulatively, the export value of Central Kalimantan from January to November 2009 reached US$ 297.13 million, an increase of 4.08 percent compared to the same period in 2008 which amounted to US$ 285.47 million. The largest export commodities in November 2009 were animal/vegetable fats and oils (HS 15) worth US$ 9.35 million (90.16 percent) and wood/wooden goods (HS 44) worth US$ 0.95 million (9, 16 percent). Exports in November 2009 were carried out through the Kumai port with a value of US$ 9.42 million (90.84 percent) and the Pangkalan Bun port with a value of US$ 0.95 million (9.16 percent). The largest export destination countries in November 2009 were China at US$ 5.57 million (53.71 percent) and Malaysia at US$ 2.31 million (22.28 percent). The import value of Central Kalimantan in November 2009 was US$ 0.01 million, down 99.62 percent compared to October 2009 which was US$ 2.61 million. Cumulatively, the import value of Central Kalimantan from January to November 2009 reached US$ 34.99 million or a decrease of 2.81 percent compared to the same period in 2008 which amounted to US$ 36.00 million. Imports in November 2009 were all carried out through the Kumai port amounting to US$ 0.01 million. The imported commodity in November 2009 was mechanical machines/aircraft (HS 84) amounting to US$ 0.01 million. Imports in November 2009 came entirely from Malaysia amounting to US$ 0.01 million.
