Abstract

In October 2014, the import value of Central Kalimantan was US$ 8.55 million. Cumulatively, the import value of Central Kalimantan from January to October 2014 reached US$ 89.66 million or increased by 21.98 percent compared to the same period in 2013 which was US$ 73.50 million.
The main commodities imported in October were mechanical machines/aircraft (HS 84) worth US$ 5.55 million, cumulatively from January to October 2014, imports of mechanical machines/aircraft (HS 84) were worth US$ 54.70 million (61.01 percent), Mineral Fuel (HS 27) worth US$ 16.52 million (18.42 percent) and electrical machines/equipment (HS 85) worth US$ 7.53 million (8.40 percent).
Imports in January - October 2014 were mainly carried out through Pulang Pisau port amounting to US$ 36.98 million (41.24 percent) and Sampit port amounting to US$ 27.08 million (30.21 percent).
Imports in January - October 2014 came from China amounting to US$ 48.46 million (54.05 percent), Malaysia amounting to US$ 23.89 million (26.64 percent) and Singapore amounting to US$ 14.84 million (16.55 percent)
