Abstract

The total value of exports fell 14.38 percent from US $ 204.14 million (March 2020) to US $ 174.79 million (April 2020).
Mineral fuels are the mainstay of export commodities valued at US $ 107.84 million, or contribute 61.70 percent to total exports.
There are two main export destination countries, namely China at US $ 58.46 million and Japan at US $ 56.15 million. The two countries contributed 65.57 percent of total exports.
The contribution of export transportation services through ports in Kalimantan Tengah was US $ 51.21 million, lower than the contribution of ports in other provinces which were US $ 123.58 million.
Cumulatively, the total value of exports fell by 19.27 percent from US $ 881.37 million (January-April 2019) to US $ 711.54 million (January-April 2020).
The total value of imports rose 11.86 percent from US $ 1.94 million (March 2020) to US $ 2.17 million (April 2020). Cumulatively, imports fell by 64.64 percent from US $ 27.91 million (January-April 2019) to only US $ 9.87 million (January-April 2020).
The foreign trade balance has a surplus of US $ 172.62 million (April 2020) and US $ 701.67 million (January-April 2020).
