Abstract

Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the index of price paid by farmers (Ib).

NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.

The Combined NTP of Kalimantan Tengah in October 2022 decreased by 0.36 percent compared to September 2022, from 115.98 to 115.56. This decrease was caused by the decline in the exchange rate in several sub-sectors, namely the livestock sub-sector (0.81 percent), the people's plantation sub-sector (0.74 percent), and the horticulture sub-sector (0.37 percent). Meanwhile, the fishery sub-sector and the food crops sub-sector experienced an increase in the exchange rate, respectively by 1.30 percent and 0.68 percent.

In October 2022 there was an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Kalimantan Tengah by 0.22 percent which was mainly due to the increase in the price index for the transportation group (0.56 percent) and the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups (0 .50 percent). Meanwhile, the price index for the recreation, sports, and culture group was the only expenditure group that experienced a decline (0.11 percent).

Similar to NTP, Kalimantan Tengah's Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in October 2022 also decreased by 0.41 percent, from 115.08 (September 2022) to 114.61 (October 2022).
