Abstract

The percentage of poor people in March 2023 was 5.11 percent, a decrease of 0.11 percentage points from September 2022 and a decrease of 0.17 points from March 2022.

The number of poor people in March 2023 was 142.17 thousand people, a decrease of 2.35 thousand people compared to September 2022 and a decrease of 2.93 thousand people compared to March 2022.

The percentage of urban poor people in March 2023 was 4.78 percent, down 0.31 percentage points from September 2022. But for rural areas, the percentage of poor people was 5.35 percent, an increase of 0.03 percent from September 2022.

The number of urban poor people decreased by 2.83 thousand people from 59.93 thousand people in September 2022 to 57.10 thousand people in March 2023. However, during the same period the number of rural poor people increased by 0.46 thousand people from 84,000 people in rural areas. 60 thousand people in September 2022 to 85.06 people in March 2023.

The Poverty Line in March 2023 was recorded at IDR 596,184/capita/month with a composition of the Food Poverty Line of IDR 461,296 (77.37 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line of IDR 134,888 (22.63 percent).

In March 2023, on average, poor households in Central Kalimantan had 4.58 household members. Thus, the average poverty line per poor household is IDR 2,730,523/poor household/month.
