Susenas and Seruti Field Enumeration Activities Q3 September 2024

September 30, 2024 | BPS Activities

As a source of data related to household welfare in Indonesia which includes aspects of education, health, economics and other aspects of life, data collection from the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) and Quarterly III Household Economic Survey (Seruti) has been routinely carried out by Central Bureau of Statistics. It should be noted that in 2024, the module raised in the September 2024 Susenas Activities is the Socio-Cultural and Educational Module (MSBP). As of the end of September, the implementation of this survey had entered the field enumeration stage.
This field enumeration activity will be carried out from 20 to 30 September 2024, carried out by Field Enumeration Officers (PCL) who are tasked with collecting data in the field. The data collected by PCL is checked by Field Examination Officers (PML) who are tasked with supervising and inspecting PCL during activities take place. The series of activities from collection to examination aims to ensure that the data collected is in accordance with procedures and ensure the quality of the data produced.
In carrying out the field enumeration, several obstacles were found, namely difficulty in meeting respondents in the field. This was because the respondent was not at home or was unable to be met by PCL. Another obstacle that emerged was the limitation when conducting interviews with elderly respondents because it was difficult for respondents to remember and provide the information provided. Apart from that, obstacles in the form of weather which has entered the rainy season have hampered data collection activities
