August 2023 SAKERNAS Officer Training

The rapid development of employment is a challenge for BPS to produce quality and reliable workforce data. The National Labor Force Survey (SAKERNAS) is an important source of employment data in Indonesia to answer this challenge. SAKERNAS is held semiannually, namely semester I in February and semester II in August.

In general, the August 2023 SAKERNAS aims to provide basic, sustainable employment data. As for specifically, to obtain estimated data on the number of working population, the number of unemployed, and other employment indicators down to the district/city level.

BPS Sukamara Regency has held training for officers for the August 2023 SAKERNAS activities. The training was conducted for two days, 02-03 August 2023 at the Natai Sedawak Village office hall, Sukamara District. This year's SAKERNAS training was conducted face-to-face. The August 2023 SAKERNAS training was attended by 33 officers consisting of 22 Field Enumeration Officers (PCL) and 11 Field Examination Officers (PML) and guided by Bakhrian Nur as Regional Instructor (Inda).

The SAKERNAS training this time was opened and closed by the Head of BPS Sukamara Regency, Mr. Khalid Zuhri. Apart from providing motivation and enthusiasm to be able to collect quality employment data, Mr. Khalid also advised field officers to always be able to capture social and economic phenomena that occur in the Sukamara community.

The main objective of the training for SAKERNAS officers is to provide prospective officers with an overview of the implementation of data collection in the field starting from the concept, methodology and procedures for data collection in the field in order to obtain valid and up to date employment data.
