SAKERNAS UPDATE FEBRUARY 2024

The National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) is a routine activity carried out by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) with the aim of collecting employment data on an ongoing basis. Sakernas is held twice a year, namely in February and August. Currently, BPS Sukamara Regency is carrying out household updates for Sakernas. This updating activity aims to update population data from the Census Blocks that are the Sakernas sample.
BPS Sukamara Regency carried out updating activities from January 25 to February 5. The updating process is carried out directly by survey officers. The survey officers in question are officers who have taken part in Sakernas officer training.
In implementing the 2024 Sakernas updating activities, the updating process no longer uses paper but instead switches to using devices in the form of smartphones or tablets. The change in updating method is a challenge for survey officers, where some officers are still not used to the change. However, as updating activities progress, it is hoped that officers will be able to adapt to these changes.
